Why Bear

You only pay for the weight
that's actually in your bin

Most companies bill a flat rate whether you filled the bin or barely touched it. We don't. We weigh what you actually threw away and that's what you pay. We can do that because we own the landfill it goes to.

Billed on actual weight

We weigh what's in the bin and that's what you pay. You won't get charged for air on a half empty load.

Twenty-five years at it

We've been in the waste disposal business for over 25 years, hauling for builders, businesses and homeowners all over Utah.

One text does it all

Don't like calling? Text the same number. Ordering a bin, scheduling a pickup or asking a question all work over text.

One-time or ongoing

We do short term and long term rentals. One time use or a standing rotation, we've got bins ready to go.

What we haul

Three kinds of job, one number

We serve commercial and residential construction as well as do-it-yourselfers. Whatever your job requires, we can help.

I am extremely happy with these guys. I did a lot of looking around to try and find the best deal I could, and Bear Services was much, MUCH less expensive than the other companies I called. Around half the price. […] Their base fee is very reasonable. They got the dumpster to me quickly, and they picked it up quickly, too. If you're looking for a dumpster, Bear Services is the place to get it.

I called around to several companies and these guys were the best deal in town. […] Great customer service from start to finish! I would definitely use them again in the future.

What a wonderful group of people! So helpful and kind. They helped me solve a disaster, and quickly brought the bin so we could dispose of all the damaged items in our home. So sad, but Bear Services, made it easier to deal with. Thank you.

Common questions

The things people ask before they book

Anything not covered here, call or text (801) 785-4494 and you'll get a straight answer from someone who works here.

What does it cost?

Your delivery and removal price includes the first ton of trash. After that you're charged by the actual weight in your bin, not a padded flat rate. Rates depend on which city you're in, so call or text (801) 785-4494 and we'll give you the number for your address.

How long do I get to keep the bin?

You get 14 days before a daily rental fee starts, and it only kicks in after 14 days of inactivity. If you finish early, text us and we'll come pull it. If your project is running long, call or text and we'll tell you what the daily rate looks like for your bin.

Which size do I need, 15 or 30 yard?

The 15 yard measures 12 ft by 7½ ft by 5½ ft and holds 12,000 lbs. It handles most cleanouts, remodels, small builds and landscaping loads. The 30 yard measures 22 ft by 7½ ft by 6 ft and holds 24,000 lbs, which is double the capacity for full construction jobs, big demos and commercial volume. Measure your driveway before you book, and if you're on the fence, tell us what you're throwing away and we'll size it for you.

Can I just text instead of calling?

Yes. One text or call does it all at (801) 785-4494. Ordering a bin, scheduling a pickup or asking a question all work over text, and it reaches a person either way.

How soon can you get a bin to me?

It depends on what's on the yard that day, so call or text and dispatch will tell you exactly what's open. Quick drop-off and quick pickup are the two things our customers bring up most.

Do you do ongoing service, or just one-time?

Both. Short-term and long-term rentals, one-time use or a standing rotation for warehouses, shops and docks. Set the schedule once and the bin is there when you need it.

Where does my load actually end up?

In our own facilities. Bear is part of Dunn Companies, which also runs the Five Mile Pass sand & rock quarry and the Five Mile Pass C&D landfill. Owning the back end of the trip is exactly why we can bill you on real weight instead of guesswork.

When can I reach you?

Call during the day, or text whenever it's convenient. We answer texts outside of working hours too, so if it's easier to send a message at night or over the weekend, send it and we'll pick it up.

Dunn Companies

We own the other end of the trip

Bear is one of the Dunn operations. The quarry and the landfill are in the family too, and that's exactly why we can bill you on real weight instead of guesswork.
